Rocket D3 Support Case Study

Introduction

This case study examines a large plastics manufacturing company based in Glasgow, which had been experiencing problems with their Rocket D3 system. The company had been running Rocket D3 version 7.2.0 on Red Hat 9, but had encountered issues following the loss of key IT staff. In April 2004, the company contacted one of our consultants for assistance in resolving these issues.

Initial Challenge

The company was facing a number of challenges with their Rocket D3 system, which was critical to their operations. Following the loss of key IT staff, the company was struggling to maintain and support the system, and was experiencing a range of issues related to performance, reliability, and functionality.

Process

To address these challenges, one of our consultants was brought in to assess the company's Rocket D3 system, and identify areas for improvement. The consultant worked closely with the company's IT team, conducting a detailed analysis of the system, and identifying a number of issues that needed to be addressed. The consultant worked with the company to resolve these issues, implementing a range of solutions to improve system performance, reliability, and functionality. This included upgrading the system to the latest version of Rocket D3, implementing best practices for system maintenance and support, and providing training to the company's IT staff to ensure that they had the skills and knowledge necessary to manage and support the system effectively.

Impact and Result

The consultant's work had a significant impact on the company's Rocket D3 system, and helped to ensure that the system remained a reliable and effective tool for the company's operations. Following the initial engagement, the company retained our services to provide ongoing support and maintenance for the system, and 2 decades later we are still working with the company to maintain and improve their D3 systems and network infrastructure.

The improvements made to the system have helped to improve the company's overall efficiency and productivity, enabling them to meet the needs of their customers more effectively. In addition, the ongoing support and maintenance provided by our team has helped to ensure that the system remains up to date and secure, protecting the company's data and operations from potential threats. Overall, our work with this plastics manufacturing company has been a success, providing them with the support and expertise they need to maintain and improve their critical Rocket D3 system over the long term.
