The Event Engine is a powerful and highly configurable device-level interface that facilitates the transfer of events and data between various factory floor systems. Providing a seamless connection to a range of devices such as Ethernet devices and OPC devices, enabling communication with label printers, scanners, applicators, message displays and virtually any PLC via an OPC Server. Additionally, the Event Engine is capable of interfacing with RS232 devices as well as databases and file devices.

Configuration of the Event Engine is simple and intuitive, allowing users to link devices, events, and transactions to create dynamic sequences of interactions. For example, the exchange of data between the system and a robot applicator can be easily configured with the following steps: pallet in position signal from the PLC, read order number from the PLC, send data to the applicator, receive validation scan, and finally send confirmation to the PLC to move pallet.
